Keep the flexibility of homeschooling. Add the structure you need.
IIA Academic Studio supports K–8 homeschool families who want professional instruction, accountability, peer learning, projects, and a consistent community without giving up the flexibility and values that led them to homeschool.
Academic Studio may be a strong fit if:
- You value homeschooling but do not want to teach every subject alone.
- Your child needs a consistent academic routine.
- You want skill-based instruction rather than grade-label assumptions.
- Your child needs peer discussion, projects, and meaningful collaboration.
- You want progress communication and clearer weekly direction.
- You are looking for a faith-centered, purpose-driven learning community.
One focused studio day. A clearer week of learning.
The initial Academic Studio model includes one three-hour in-person studio day each week, with four studio days per month.
- Small-group reading, writing, and mathematics instruction
- Individual Growth Plan priorities
- Leadership routines and executive-function habits
- Project-based learning
- Monthly financial-literacy or career connection
- Weekly learning direction and assigned home practice
- Monthly parent progress snapshot
- Quarterly project presentation or experience
Field-trip admission, transportation, or unusual project costs will be disclosed separately before families commit.
Parent responsibility
During IIA's current homeschool-support phase, parents remain responsible for the legal administration of their home-study programs, including required filings, attendance records, and overall educational responsibility. IIA provides contracted instruction, planning, feedback, and records for the services described in the family's agreement.
A bridge to the future IIA academy
Academic Studio allows IIA to strengthen its curriculum, student systems, parent communication, teacher training, and community before expanding into a Christian private microschool. Families who join the pilot help shape a model built around real student needs and demonstrated results.
